He obtained his Juris Doctor degree (cum laude, valedictorian) from the University of the Philippines in 2017. He has a Master of Laws degree with focus on international arbitration from Harvard University. He worked at the Trial and Global Disputes Practice Group of King & Spalding at its New York Office where he specialized in international commercial arbitration and international investment arbitration practice. He is a member of New York State Bar. He is a Senior Lecturer of Constitutional Law, Public Officers and Election Law, and Administrative Law at the U.P. College of Law. He served as an Editorial Board Member of Philippine Law Journal in 2016. He is the recipient of the Justice Irene R. Cortes Prize for Best Paper in Constitutional Law in 2017.
